Yan and I will be meeting up with personnel from SCS this coming Tuesday.
We'll be discussing the recreational activity we're supposed to carry out for a group of youth aged thirteen to eighteen. Yan has suggested Marina Barrage - kite-flying, picnic, etc. We'll see how it goes.

Hopes it works out fine.
As of now, working with St Luke's Hospital has been put on hold.

I really need all the free dates again before Tuesday, so please cooperate.

hey, all.

i've contacted TOUCH community services but they've yet to reply.
will be calling the person in-charge some time this week.
we're requesting to volunteer to accompany the kids on an outing or something similar on 7th january. (if you guys have changes to schedule, please let me know.)

our deadline, by the way, is the second week of the new school term.

if they all don't work out because of lousy schedule, then i'm suggesting salvation army.

i can't seem to find others - you may wish to.
five shifts per day, and one pair of volunteers per shift.

any other idea and connection you guys have? else, we'll just make do with this, since we're pretty much lacking the time and everyone's effort lah hor.

class chalet!

HELLO EVERYONE! here are the updates for class chalet!

check in: Friday, 6th November, 2pm onwards

check out: Sunday, 8th November, 12pm but i think we can ask for extension

After school on Friday, you can choose to proceed directly to the chalet OR you can go home wash up and all first. My parents will be there to help us check in so if you want to go to the chalet directly from school, please let me know!

the money collected from everyone has been used to pay for the chalet and also for the BBQ on 7th November, SATURDAY NIGHT. the BBQ will start at whatever time yall feel like, but please, discuss with the rest of the class before starting the fire k? don't go starting the fire when no one feels like eating or there won't be enough charcoal to last the night. the teachers MIGHT be coming because the staff dinner is actually on FRIDAY NIGHT and i think they are available on SATURDAY NIGHT, though i'm not sure if they still want to come hehe. christy will be passing me the class fund so if yall want to buy anything using the class fund, just let me know too e.g. marshmallows and blah.

all of you will need to bring money to pay for your other meals and whatever you have to spend on. if you cannot make it for the chalet for any reason, please inform me! so far, i've only received replies from Shaun, Christy, Earl and Perry saying they cannot come. do take note, your money will NOT be refunded. also, Juniper might be joining us (: thought yall might want to know (:

those of you who want to bring sleeping bags or whatever, feel free to do so. cause i don't think there will be enough beds to go around x))) and during the whole chalet, be responsible for your own belongings okay!!!!!! go buy insurance if you want to :D

if you have any questions, just drop me an sms or call (: and yes people, THERE WILL BE STINGRAY :D if you want sambal, bring it along k. and bring more so that we can all share :D

don't forget, this is a CLASS CHALET. so do try to bond with each other and not just stick with your group of friends k? i know its easier said than done, but no harm trying (: and please people, NO PW -.- or i will come after you with a parang. i've heard from some people that we're all interested to go to kbox yes? perhaps we can go together as a class?? Hmm...it's be rather challenging for me to bring a newborn around. She's fine, eat, drink, sleep, cry, wet her diapers, everything a baby would do.

((: and for those of you who don't know yet, her baby's name's Yu Xuan. i think english is Claire. im not sure. so just use yu xuan until u know what's the english name. ((: and xx, if u're reading this, DO NOT TAG about her baby having HALF your name=.= hahahaha.

just wanna say, 1709 rocks. sports carnival has indeed brought us closer, and brought me to realising that this is a class i'd never want to part with. and the good news, we wont have to. congrats to each and everyone of us for being able to promote! ok, i know to some, promoting is like duh. but to some others(like me), it has been a worry. so, dont worry, be happie cause we're promoting as a whole class! woots! (:

and i'd like to give everyone a pat on ur back. we've all worked hard. whether or not the results were good or bad, i know we've all worked hard. so good job guys! and of course, to our tutors who have put effort in some way or another.

alrighty, so i've done the booking for the class chalet already.

Date: 6th to 8th November 2009 (Friday to Sunday)
Venue: ARANDA COUNTRY CLUB chalets, room 2302 (ground floor unit)
Time: 3pm on the 6th till 10 am on the 8th

i think our school holidays only start on 28th November actually. but by then, the chalets are fully booked already cause of christmas and who knows what else.
there will be parental supervision (MY PARENTS!) but they will be in the unit next door. this is just so your parents won't worry or do whatever it is parents do (:
in case there is school on the 6th (friday), people PLEASE DO NOT PON SCHOOL TO GO TO ARANDA EARLY!
we shall all be good and go to school in the morning (: then meet up later in the evening, probably around 6pm, and proceed to the chalet. the timing can be confirmed again closer to the date.
oh yes, i'll say this again, all the group expenses will be taken from CLASS FUND. so even if you can't make it, we will still count in your share. this is to ensure that people WILL turn up for chalet.
if your parents object to you staying over, if you can't make it, or any other objections, please do let me know asap.
oh yes, even if you aren't allowed to stay over in the chalet, i hope yall can still join us for activities over the weekend k?
so the whole class can have breakfast, go out to play the whole day and then rest :D

oh yeah, the reason we wanted both BLACK and WHITE shirts is because, well it says 'it don't matter if you're BLACK or WHITE'.
so even if you're wearing the white shirt or black shirt, it doesn't matter, cause its still our class shirt :D
similarly, it doesn't matter how different we are, cause we're still a class :D
so cheesy right? YEAH I KNOW. AND I LOVE IT HAHAHAHAH!

CLASS TEE

HELLO EVERYONE! Dailing and I [Padma] have come up with a design for our class tee and we thought we'd share it with you guys (: there are quite a lot of us who like Michael Jackson yes? so the theme for this shirt is MJ :D

Basically, there will be 2 versions of our class tee. the BLACK version and the WHITE version. but the design is exactly the same! so half of us will be in white and half of us in black. of course, if you wish to get both sets, then thats fine too (: most of you will get to choose the colour you want, but because we want it half half (maybe 10:15), some of you might get the other colour. but trust me, both colours are real nice :D so here are the designs. give us your honest opinion okay! if you don't like it, tell us and we can change it (:

Also, people, try coming up with some designs for our class shirt! feel free to make some designs and just share with the class (: i'm going to upload the WHITE set and dailing will upload the BLACK set later.

as usual, it's me again, updating u guys on what to do and bring after this 4days weekend. :)
firstly, hope all of u have enjoyed these four days(personally, i felt it was damm short) cause on wednesday onwards, we gotta face our horrifying results(i think this applies to everyone right? hehe) and then gotta carry on with our no-life life of lectures, tutorials and tests.

1) Do maths tutorial 14-composite functions
2) Do biology tutorial-Mutation and Cancer(ms poh is coming back so must be guai ok! XD)
3) Do econs tutorial-Oligopoly(i have no idea where to find this ws. lol. gay tcher shall see my blank table on this first lesson. lol)
4) Bring all of the above
5) Bring chem alkenes notes
6) Bring all your exam question papers
7) Bring temperature log book
8) Bring thermometer
9) Bring ezlink card with the sticker(incase they still want to check)
10) Bring tie tmr-it's a wednesday rmb
11) PE is as per normal so bring/wear ur hse tee and pe shorts (boohoo)
12) Bring youth day appeal donation card(with money duh) and pass to GO if u want to
13) Bring $15 to pay to class funds tmr (if u owe $, pls add them to the 15bucks urself and pay at ONE GO- O$P$! otherwise no notes for u!XD)(i know we're all like huh..pay $ again...but bo pian la. :()

so yarh, go and download it, and take note of where u're seating, the venue and the exact seat no. i suggest u write it down and put it up on ur wall or somehting cause if u think "ah, i can rmb this" noo....on that day u will be lost. lol.

or u can msn me for the file. but it might take quite sometime to send over...

and also, i found this "GP Essay Revision Topics" it's the pass topics frm TJ's various exams from 2001 to 2005. can be found in sch portal under file sharing. it's uploaded in 2008. but doesnt matter right? lol. or, u can msn me again. duno if it will take sometime. pls note, this is optional. :)

three months, about a semester... yeah, that's how long we've been as a class.
just wish to say that you guys have been an awesome bunch. :)

school work may be getting tougher but we can survive this.

finally the hectic term is over. ok, ALMOST over. we just gotta hang in there for 1 more wk. but smile!! cause we have concerts over the wkend to attend! basically, this post is abt the choir concert tmr.

ben and i are thinking of going hm after sch to change and everything then meet earlier somewhere for dinner before going to the concert hall together. so i'm asking here who's going and who's in agreement of this. please suggest a place and time to meet up. i'll pass a note ard tmr mrning during econs(when every1 drowns in econs).

On the note, please write:
1) Your name if u want to go hm, change, do ur makeup or wadeva then meet for dinner(so that we wont miss out anyone)
